Weddings / Renewal of Vows
We understand that you want the celebration of your union to be something truly special and truly unique. This is often hard to achieve through a registry office or even a church.
Perhaps you might want a beach wedding or a themed occasion or you would like a particular evocative Ritual to mark your love: Ring warming; Handfasting; Sand Ceremony.
As independent celebrants we are able to turn your wedding into a beautiful, loving and inspiring event.
What's Included:
- Free, no obligation Zoom Chat where we can explore what you might like to include in your wedding.
- If you want to proceed, we will set up a longer face to face meeting where we can explore in depth what might be possible, relevant and exciting. Perhaps a themed wedding or a ceremony that includes a ritual such as Ring Warming or Hand Fasting.
- We will set up a Whatsapp group with you and keep in regular contact.
- We will create an original/bespoke script for your wedding ceremony.
- We will guide you through the creation and writing of your own vows.
- We will attend a rehearsal for the wedding, usually a day or 2 ahead.
- We will be there an hour early for comfort, breathing exercises/meditation or last minute changes.
Baby Naming
The arrival of a new baby is a joy and a blessing. Now you can openly welcome them to the world and name them with a suitable ceremony.
Do not worry if you have no ideas just yet, we will go through with you some ideas for readings, poems, and even symbolic ceremonies such as a balloon release, planting a tree ceremony or a time capsule ceremony – there are many more ideas out there for you.
There are so many beautiful readings and poems to choose from that could be read during the ceremony. You may want a passage from your favorite Winnie the Poo story or some choice words from your favorite nursery rhyme! This is the part where you can personalise your ceremony as you have absolutely no restrictions with a celebrant.
What You Can Expect:
- During your first meeting we will talk to you about your baby naming ceremony and find out if you have any visions or ideas for this special ceremony.
- You will then be left with a short questionnaire, which will gather information about you and your family, for example, “What does this name mean to you?” and “What are your hopes and aspirations for their future?”.
- We will then create a personalised and unique ceremony script that will include all the above elements from our chats, including the information from the questionnaire.
- You can also have included any religious or non-religious elements that you would like. We can have you as the parents and the grandparents declaring your promises and commitments to your new addition. Friends and other family members can also declare their future support and guidance as the new addition grows in life.
- On the day of the celebration, we will be there in good time to make sure everything is in place before the ceremony commences, so that when you turn up everything will go smoothly. At the end of the ceremony you, as the parents, will take away some beautiful treasured memories and will get to sign a baby naming ceremony certificate for you to keep.

What You Can Expect:
- In the first instance, we will most likely contact you by phone to set up a meeting. Expect to set aside an hour or two for this.
- We will go through a detailed questionnaire which will cover everything: what music you would like for your loved one; what readings and who you might like to speak; everything about your person (education, job, family, likes, dislikes etc.).
- We will stay in contact and send you a rough draft of the funeral service and eulogy (unless one of your family prefer to do this).
- We will create an order of service and lease with the Funeral Director.
- We will arrive an hour early for the Service and will remain on hand after the service.
